Businessman Peter Thomas, a former Cardiff chairman, passed away at the age of 79.

Before moving to one of the Welsh regions in 2003, Thomas played with Cardiff RFC in the 1960s and later returned to lead the team.
Thomas made his initial investment in the club in 1994, and he held the position of chairman for 22 years before resigning in 2018.

The area announced that Thomas, its life president, passed away quietly accompanied by his family on Wednesday at his home.
During the course of more than six decades, Thomas was associated with Cardiff.
He was a former hooker who made 11 appearances for the club before rising to the position of one of the game’s most influential figures in Wales.
