Burress’ career in the NFL lasted 12 seasons, but was remarkable.

He had a stint with the New York Jets in 2011, and then returned to the Steelers for the 2012 season and played until retirement.

Burress is remembered for accidentally shooting himself in the leg with a gun he was carrying in a nightclub.

The incident had led to legal troubles and a suspension from the NFL at the time.

In 2017, he began his coaching career with the Arizona Cardinals.
