Professor Joshua Alabi, campaign manager for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate John Mahama, has asserted that the shortcomings of the Akufo-Addo government diminish the electoral challenge posed by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in the upcoming general elections.

Speaking to Citi News after being reappointed as the NDC’s campaign manager for 2024, Professor Alabi criticized Dr. Bawumia’s economic strategies, contending that they have failed to produce any tangible benefits that would garner voter confidence.
He pointed out several unmet pledges, including commitments like “one village, one dam” and “one constituency, one million dollars.”

“These are practical things. You don’t even see anything moving on,” Professor Alabi remarked, underscoring that Ghanaians have become weary of Dr. Bawumia’s economic theories.
In contrast, he emphasized the substantial infrastructure projects implemented by John Dramani Mahama during his presidency, expressing confidence in Mahama’s ability to regain the presidency.
“We all know the performance of John Dramani Mahama when he was in office, the massive infrastructural development he did. I am very confident that we will get our flagbearer to the seat of government,” Alabi stated.
