Richard Gere topped news headlines after the news of his hospitalization surfaced online. According to reports, he was celebrating his wife, Alejandra Silva’s 40th birthday at their holiday home in Nuevo Vallarta.

However, the celebration was interrupted and had to be stopped after Richard Gere was reportedly admitted to the local hospital with a diagnosis of pneumonia. Prior to his wife’s birthday, he had a cough that persisted and got worse on the day of the birthday celebration.
