Rick Froberg Obituary

Drive Like Jehu singer and guitarist, Rick Froberg has died of natural causes at the age of 55. He died on Friday, June 30, 2023.

Tributes have been pouring in from social media after his death was announced.

“Rick Froberg sang and played effortlessly in the only language I ever understood, absolute panic… two microphonic 60s Japanese pickups hammering a faceless Marshall. This one hurts,” Daniel Danger shared.

“His art made life better. The only thing he loved more than art and rock and roll was his friends. He will forever be remembered for his creativity, vision, and his ability to bring beauty into this world. I love you, Rick. I will miss you for the rest of my life,” Bandmate, John Reis wrote.
