Governor Siminialayi Fubara of Rivers has presented a list of nominees for the caretaker committee chairpersons to the House of Assembly, led by Speaker Victor Oko-Jumbo.

Under Oko-Jumbo’s leadership, the Assembly has scheduled Wednesday, June 19, for the screening and confirmation of these nominees.
A statement from the Clerk of the House has invited the nominees to attend the screening at 8 am, and they are required to bring 12 sets of their credentials, including both originals and photocopies.
The lawmakers clarified that their actions are in line with Section 9 (5) of the Rivers State Local Government Law.
