Arkansas Supreme Court Justice Robin Wynne, who had served on the court since 2014, died on Wednesday evening, according to an Arkansas Judiciary official. Wynne, 70, was re-elected to the state’s highest court for a second eight-year term in 2022.

Robin French Wynne, a well-known lawyer who was born on February 15, 1953, is currently a justice on the Arkansas Supreme Court. 2014 saw his election to this position. Prior to his stint on the Arkansas Supreme Court, Wynne served as a judge on the Arkansas Court of Appeals, District 5, from 2011 until he was formally sworn in in 2015.
He also had a distinguished legal career, and from 2004 to 2010, he was the district judge for Dallas County.

In terms of education, Robin F. Wynne received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University in 1975 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1978.
For the District 5 seat on the Arkansas Court of Appeals, Robin F. Wynne ran unopposed in 2010 and won. Wynne will now complete Michael Kinard’s remaining term. Later, after again running unopposed, he was elected to the same District 5 seat on the Arkansas Court of Appeals.
When Tim Cullen, an attorney from Maumelle, Arkansas, was defeated by Wynne in the race for an 8-year term as an Arkansas Supreme Court justice, a significant turning point was reached.
After winning the election by a margin of 52% to 48%, Wynne eventually succeeded retiring Justice Donald L. Corbin.
