Spanish national and former captain of Real Madrid, Sergio Ramos, after leaving the three-consecutive-time UEFA Champions’ side broke so many hearts. Ramos has joined French Ligue 1 side, Paris Saint-Germain to continue his football career. After playing for sixteen (16) straight seasons at Madrid and eventually becoming the captain, he thought it wise to leave the club and continue elsewhere.

Ramos while getting ready for one of the club’s pre-season matches, unintentionally looked at his left arm to position his captain band but unfortunately for him, his role as a captain ended at Madrid.

The 35-year old started playing for Madrid in 2005 summer after being bought from Sevilla for €27 million. On 8th July 2021, Ramos announced that he had signed a two-year contract for Paris Saint-Germain.

Ramos till now has been considered as one of the best defenders in the world. He is the defender with the most goals in the world; with a total of 253 goals in his career.
