A 58-year-old member of the royal family of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has gone away.

He was the brother of UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and according to Arab media, Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has been gravely ill for some time.
Reports state that in June 2010, Sheikh Saeed was chosen to serve as the rulers of Abu Dhabi’s emissary.
In addition, he had previously held the positions of chairman of the Miri Time Port Authority in Abu Dhabi and a member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

The Presidential Court reported that Sheikh Saeed was in severe condition on July 22 and that he passed away five days later.

He was Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s half-brother, the president of the United Arab Emirates.
