Sandy Koufax is widely considered one of the greatest pitchers in the history of Major League Baseball. In 1963, he won the Cy Young Award for the first time, and he went on to win it two more times in 1965 and 1966.
Sandy Koufax was also named the National League MVP in 1963 and 1965. Perhaps most impressively, Koufax threw four no-hitters during his career, including a perfect game in 1965. In 1972, he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, and his number 32 was retired by the Dodgers.
