Sarah Lancashire Children: Meet Thomas, Mathew, Joseph Peter Salmon

Sarah Lancashire is an English actress from Oldham, England. She is the mother of three children.

She shares two sons with her first husband Gary Hargreaves. Thomas her first son was born in 1987, and Matthew, her second son, was born in 1989.

Sarah Lancashire welcomed her third child a son, Joseph, in 2003 with her current husband Peter Salmon.

She is also a step-mum to Peter’s three sons from his previous marriage to Penny Watt, however little is known about Sarah’s step-children.

The Sun reported how Sarah said of her home life: “I guard it because it’s very precious. It’s not a piece of drama. It is real life, my normal life. And I value my normality.”

She previously spoke about being a mother, saying she became “public property” due to her role as barmaid Raquel Watts in Coronation Street between 1991 and 1996.

Lancashire said how people saw her as Raquel and this made it “very difficult”, however, she said having her children before rising to fame helped.

The star told the Sunday Mirror in 2000: “To my children I am a mum. I am nothing more.

“I am a mum who happens to work on television, which they have been used to since they were born, so there’s no big deal.”
