Shannen Doherty is an American actress, producer, and television director. Shannen Doherty has been married 3 times but she has no children.

In an interview with Health magazine, she shared that she always wanted a child. She and her husband talked about adoption and egg donors. However, Doherty can’t wrap her mind around the fear that she might only have five or 10 years to live.

“I certainly wouldn’t want my 10-year-old burying a mother. I’ve always wanted a kid. But maybe I’m supposed to mother in a different way,” she said.

Shannen Doherty was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. She had undergone chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery since then, all of which had an impact on her other physical aspects.

“The hormones I went on threw my body into menopause instantly,” she said in a 2019 interview with Health. My metabolism slowed to a halt, and I gained a significant amount of weight. Chemotherapy also caused me to gain weight.”

She stated, “It’s not possible for me to get pregnant because I can’t get out of menopause. That would require estrogen, and I’m choosing not to take hormone pills I can’t risk those levels coming up.” In June 2023, she announced that the cancer had spread to her brain and was terminal
