Shelley Smith Children: Meet Nick Nathan and Miranda Nathan

Nick Nathan and Miranda Nathan are the children of the late American fashion model, Shelley Smith. They were born through in vitro fertilization, after setting up The Egg Donor Program, however, they were fathered by Reid Nathan.

Smith later married a man named Michael Maguire for 18 years before she died, but they did not have any children. She died on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, while she was in a coma after experiencing cardiac arrest three days earlier, and her health has deteriorated in the past year.

“When she wanted to have children and was having a hard time herself, she went through the process and discovered in vitro fertilization and saw what was wrong with the industry … and started her own company. She helped thousands and thousands of people have babies. It was so sweet, and she got to relive her own struggles and help other people avoid those struggles. It was beautiful to watch,” he said.
