Shona Ferguson has died at the age of 47. The family’s spokesperson, Tshwane Malope confirmed the news to the media. According to reports, he was rushed to the hospital over a week ago after complaining of chest pains.

There were reports that he had a heart operation and was fighting for his life in ICU. The family disputes these claims and explained in a statement what actually led to his death.
Part of the statement read, “Mr Ferguson’s untimely passing was due to COVID-19 related complications, and was not a heart operation as reported in the media. We ask that you give the family time to process this painful loss and respect their space during this time”.
