Sofia’s father, Jose F. Daccarett, was born in Barranquilla, Colombia, but immigrated to the United States in his late teens. He also completed his studies at Florida Atlantic University, where he met Laura, his future partner.
Sofia’s mother, Laura Char Carson, is well-known for being a member of the extremely efficient Char family of Colombian politicians and a native of Barranquilla, Colombia.
Sofia Carson’s uncles, and cousins were well-known in her hometown as successful businessmen.
