Spencer Martin, a goaltender with the Abbotsford Canucks of the American Hockey League (AHL) while on contract with the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League, was born on June 8, 1995. (NHL). The Colorado Avalanche selected Martin in the third round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, 63rd overall.

Martin, an Ontario native, played midget hockey with the Toronto Jr. Canadiens before the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors selected him with the 18th overall pick in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection. In the final year when the team played under the name Majors, he made his debut in the 2011–12 campaign, playing in 15 games.

Spencer Martin Brother-In-Law: Meet Jonah Gadjovich
On different NHL clubs, Spencer Martin and his brother-in-law Jonah Gadjovich are colleagues. Allison Martin, who converted to Gadjovich, is married to Jonah Gadjovich. Both Spencer Martin and his brother-in-law Jonah Gadjovich play ice hockey professionally. After his sister Allison wed Joanah, they became family.
Since both of Jonah’s uncles, Blair and Tony MacDonald, were once NHL players, he was born into a family of athletes. Tony, Blair’s brother, is the Carolina Hurricanes’ head of amateur scouting while Blair played 219 games with the Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers.
As a youngster in Ontario, Gadjovich started playing minor ice hockey for the Whitby Wildcats of the Eastern AAA Hockey League.
