Ghanaian filmmaker, Kofi Asamoah, marked his birthday in grand style with a lavish celebration held at the prestigious Kempinski Hotel on March 27, 2024.

The private dinner was graced by a constellation of luminaries from Ghana’s entertainment and media circles, including Fadda Dickson, the Managing Director of Despite Media, Bola Ray, CEO of ElB Network, and media personality Rosleyn Felli.
Among the distinguished guests were renowned celebrities such as Jackie Appiah, Prince David Osei, John Dumelo, Kalybos, and Sandra Sarfo.
Kofi Asamoah’s journey in the entertainment industry began as a news reporter with Skyy Power FM/TV, where he gained recognition as the voice of their reality show.

Transitioning into filmmaking in 2009, he made his mark with the production of “Boys Kasa” in 2012, featuring Kalybos, which propelled him into the Ghanaian movie scene.
Asamoah has since helmed various Ghanaian film projects, including “Area Boys” (2011), “Kalybos in China” (2015), “John and John” (2017), and “Amakye and Dede” (2016), starring Majid Michel, John Dumelo, and Salma Mumin, which clinched the Best Movie of the Year Award (Ghana) at the City People Entertainment Awards 2016.
His outstanding contributions to the Ghanaian film industry were recognized with the Best Movie Director award at the 2016 City People Entertainment Awards.
