Baseball outfielder Starling Marte sustained an injury at his groin area, making him miss the last four games.

Born on October 9, 1988, Marte was raised by his grandmother in Santo Domingo.
He hails from Dominican Republic and plays for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Before joining the Mets, je played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Arizona Diamondbacks, Miami Marlins, and Oakland Athletics.
Marte won the MLB All-Star on two occasions, as well as the Gold Glove Award.

He recorded a batting average of .315, 16 doubles and 5 triples and stealing 22 bases.
In 2012, Marte made the list of 100 of America’s Top Prospects, ranking number 73. He also ranked number 56 on Baseball list of 101 Prospect list in the same year.
In 2021, the Marte was traded by the Marlins to the Oakland Athletics in exchange for Jesús Luzardo. He had played 56 games, battinh .312/.355/.462 with 25 stolen bases
In November 2021, Marte signed a $78 million four-year contract with the New York Mets.
