Steven Del Duca is the 5th Mayor of Vaughan, who was elected on October 24, 2022.
Born on July 7, 1977, in Ontario, Canada, Del Duca served as the leader of the Ontario Liberal Party between 2020 to 2022.
Before then, he had served as Ontario cabinet minister both in transport and economic development.
Stephen Del Duca Education And Political Career
Del Duca is a graduate of political science and Canadian history, from the University of Toronto and Carleton University respectively.

He later went on to bag a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, although he never practised the profession.
Del Duca has been as an executive assistant to MPP Greg Sorbara and has worked in a few district offices before he gained ground with his political ambitions.
Del Duca emerged as Mayor of Vaughan, after he beat six other candidates, including five-time Vaughan city councillor Sandra Yeung Racco, by 851 votes.
He is a long-term resident of the city north of Toronto, having lived there for over three decades.
As Vaughan’s mayor-elect, Del Duca says he cannot wait to execute all the plans he has for the region.
