Nigeria’s Super Eagles have fallen eight positions in the latest FIFA men’s ranking announced on Thursday morning.

The national men’s football team slipped from 30th to 38th in the FIFA rankings. This decline follows a 1-1 draw against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, and a subsequent 2-1 loss to the Benin Republic in a match held in Ivory Coast.

The Super Eagles are currently ranked fifth in Africa, trailing behind Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, and Cote d’Ivoire.
World champions Argentina maintained their top position in the ranking, with France, Belgium, Brazil, and England rounding out the top five teams globally.
