Famous legendary guitarist, Tim Bachman was charged by Abbotsford police on June 14, 2010, with sexual interference of a person under 14. Some of his charges included touching a person for a sexual purpose, and sexual assault.

He was charged with incidents that allegedly began in Abbotsford in 2000 when the complaint was 11 years old and continued for three years.
Bachman was accused by Stacy Bohun that, he would grope her when she was a foster child living in his home in the Fraser Valley. However, he was not found guilty.

He was arrested again on May 26, 2014, by the police on sex charges relating to incidents from the 1990s involving several underaged victims. Bachman faced several charges including sexual assault, sexual interference, and invitation to sexual touching.
Charges against him were stagnant until November 19, 2015. A representative of the Criminal Justice Branch could not provide any details regarding why the charges were stayed but did state that this decision was reached while the prosecutor was preparing for the preliminary inquiry.
