On Monday, August 24, renowned playwright Tina Howe tragically passed away at the age of 85.

The talented author, a two-time nominee for the Pulitzer Prize, is best known for her works Painting Churches and Coastal Disturbances, the latter of which led to a nomination for Best Play at the 1987 Tony Awards.
Her agent Patrick Herold announced her death and provided details on what caused it.

Two children, three grandchildren, and several artistic creations that bear witness to Tina’s creative legacy are among the things she leaves behind. When she unveiled her final collection, Where Women Go, she still had new projects in the works.
