Expected to arrive in the US for the 2023 model year, the Toyota GR Corolla is the long-awaited hot hatchback version of the popular Corolla hatchback.

It should be noted that no sedan body style will be offered.
The 2023 Toyota GR Corolla hot hatch is here with 300 horsepower and all-wheel drive.
A six-speed manual transmission is standard on both the base model, called Core, and the Circuit Edition.

The GR Corolla is set to cost between $22,000 – $3,000.

Toyota has refused to give away too many details at this time, but sources indicate the GR Corolla will come powered by the same 1.6-liter three-cylinder engine used in the overseas-only GR Yaris. Expect around 257 horsepower or so.
Another very attractive and expected feature is a standard all-wheel drive system with rear-biased torque and limited-slip differentials.
These featured would give the GR Corolla the upper edge against the Honda Civic Type R and VW Golfo GTI. The only other AWD hot hatch currently on the market is the Golf R.
