Nelson is famous for being a host of two of BBC’s most popular music networks.

He is an award-winning DJ and promoter of RnB music across the globe.

Nelson grew up in a family of St Lucian heritage. He was schooled at the Central Foundation Boys’ Grammar School in London, and Westminster Kingsway College.

His career trajectory began with a part-time job as a DJ early in life. In 1985, he worked as a record importer and broadened his experience in DJ.

He later took up a job in A&R for record labels Cooltempo and EMI, and was opportuned to promote events and artistes such as D’Angelo, Mica Paris and Lynden David Hall.
