The Sacramento Kings of the NBA are home to Canadian professional basketball player Trey Lyles. After his freshman season at the University of Kentucky, he was chosen by the Utah Jazz in the first round of the draft.

Kentucky, Indiana, and Louisville all heavily recruited Lyles, one of the top high school basketball players in the nation. In his final year in high school, he averaged 23.7 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game as he guided Arsenal Tech to the IHSAA Class 4A State Championship game with a 63-59 victory over Lake Central. After his senior year had come to an end, Lyles was named Indiana’s Mr. Basketball.

Lyles was chosen to the All-SEC Freshman Team in 2015 after helping the Wildcats reach the 2015 NCAA Final Four.
