The Western Force have secured a significant addition to their roster for the upcoming 2024 Super Rugby Pacific season with the signing of former Crusaders hooker, Ben Funnell. Funnell, who represented the Crusaders with distinction for 89 matches between 2011 and 2019, joins the Force after playing a pivotal role in Canterbury’s journey to the semi-finals of New Zealand’s National Provincial Competition last year. With five NPC titles under his belt alongside a Super Rugby triumph with the Crusaders in 2017, Funnell’s arrival adds a layer of depth and leadership to the Force’s squad.
