Virgil WWE Cause of Death – The cause of death for Virgil, the former WWE wrestler whose real name is Michael Jones, has not been officially disclosed. He died on February 28, 2024, aged 61.

While the exact cause of his death remains unknown, Virgil had been open about facing health challenges in recent times, including being diagnosed with dementia.

In 2022, he disclosed that he had suffered two strokes and received a dementia diagnosis.

When Virgil was diagnosed with colon cancer back in 2022, the wrestling community came around to support him. Chris Jericho reportedly contributed $1,500 to the cause, making him one of the wrestlers that did so.

A number of wrestling fans have shared messages and memories following Virgil’s death. “R.I.P Virgil he’ll be missed,” wrote one, while another simply said “Sad news”.

Others posted images and videos of Virgil’s career highlights. Among them was a championship match from 1992 in which Bret Hart prevailed to keep his world heavyweight belt.

Virgil rose to prominence in the World Wrestling Federation, the forerunner to the WWE, where he competed for the most of a decade. He participated in a number of Royal Rumbles and made an appearance at Wrestlemania VIII.
