We already know who we’d like to see traversing the busy Hogwarts corridors when they return to the screen.

As a result of the HBO Max announcement in April that a Harry Potter TV adaptation has been ordered into series, Team TVLine has come up with its own suggestions for who may portray some of the franchise’s most recognizable characters.

We haven’t dream-cast every Harry Potter part, as you’ll see in our wish list below, which includes a Ted Lasso actor, a former Doctor Who leading man, and not one, but two Lucifer alums.

This is because J.K. Rowling’s novels contain hundreds of characters who fly in and out of her imaginary universe.

We only chose actors for adult parts since we believe many of the younger Hogwarts pupils, like Harry, will be played by newbies. We also acknowledge that we know little about 11-year-old British actors.
