Ryan Reynolds has been employed by Tucson’s athletic department for 13 years. He was appointed the Assistant Athletic Director for Administration and Operations in the summer of 2021.

He was initially employed as a men’s basketball administrative assistant for the 2009–10 season. In May 2010, he was elevated to the position of Director of Basketball Operations. In July 2019, he received a promotion to Assistant Athletic Director for Men’s Basketball Operations.
Reynolds oversaw the internal operations of the Tucson men’s basketball team while he was there. He oversaw the installation of the weight room to Richard Jefferson Gymnasium, the remodeling of the 2010 men’s basketball locker room, and the McKale Center corridor project.

Reynolds worked hard each year to create a difficult non-conference schedule and was also in charge of scheduling the Wildcats’ non-conference games. In addition, he served as the program’s finance manager, team travel coordinator, director of the Sean Miller Basketball Camp, and liaison to CATS Academics.

With Reynolds on staff, Arizona has advanced to the Sweet 16 five times and the Elite Eight three times in his seven NCAA Tournament appearances. During his tenure at UA, the program has also won three Pac-12 Tournament championships and five Pac-12 regular-season championships.
