The power ranking is determined by dividing the sum of all the winning points, tie points, schedule points, and bonus points by the number of games that you played.

It is strongly recommended that you play all 18 games.
The NFL power rankings are calculated by aggregating computer rankings from around the web and determining each team’s average ranking in the league.
The power points are based solely on a team’s performance and the performance of the teams it has played. Each team’s points are computed by taking that team’s winning percentage and adding the winning percentage of each team it defeated and subtracting the losing percentage of each team to which it lost.

In the NFL rankings, if two teams are tied for a position, both teams are awarded the ranking as if they held it solely. For instance, if Team A and Team B are tied for first in points scored, each team is assigned a ranking of “1” in that category, and if Team C is third, its ranking will still be “3.”
NFL teams play each divisional opponent twice per season, and if Team A beat Team B both times, regardless of having an identical overall record, Team A will be awarded the division championship and the playoff spot.
