A professional basketball player for the Orlando Magic of the National Basketball Association, Caleb Houstan was born in Canada on January 9, 2003.

He represented the Michigan Wolverines in collegiate basketball. One of the best players in the 2021 class, Houstan was a unanimous five-star recruit. 2019 FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship silver medalist with Canada.

In the NBA draft of 2022, the Orlando Magic selected Houstan 32nd overall. Houstan participated in the NBA Summer League 2022 with the Magic. He scored twenty points on 7 out of 12 field goal attempts, including 5 out of 9 from beyond the arc, in his Summer League debut. Houstan agreed to a rookie deal with the Magic on July 11, 2022.
