Marreese Speights is a former professional basketball player who played in the NBA from 2008 to 2018. He was born on August 4, 1987, in St. Petersburg, Florida, and attended the University of Florida before being selected by the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the 2008 NBA draft.

During his NBA career, Speights played for several teams, including the 76ers, Memphis Grizzlies, Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, and Orlando Magic. He was known for his ability to score in the post and his outside shooting, particularly from three-point range.

Speights won an NBA championship with the Golden State Warriors in 2015, and he also represented the United States at the 2011 Pan American Games, where he helped the team win a bronze medal. In 2019, he announced his retirement from professional basketball.

Marreese “Mo” Speights played in the NBA from 2008 through 2018, when he announced his retirement.

He played for the Guangzhou Long-Lions in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) in the 2018–19 season after his final campaign with the Orlando Magic. Speights has engaged in a number of commercial endeavours and extracurricular activities after leaving the world of professional basketball.

Additionally, he has demonstrated an interest in mentoring and teaching young basketball players. Speights continues to be involved in basketball and makes contributions to the game in many ways despite no longer being an NBA player.
