When he accepted a scholarship offer from the University of Oregon to play for the Ducks in Eugene, Fouts was relatively unknown. During his freshman year (1969), he made his debut for the team.

Fouts made his feature film debut in 1998, playing himself in Adam Sandler’s football comedy The Waterboy.

I really enjoyed watching Dan Fouts play for the San Diego Chargers. I even have a Fouts jersey. I would like to hear him broadcast again. CBS didn’t retain him, that’s fine. There are other networks who would love to hire him I’m sure. Looking forward to Dan Fouts again.
