Alejandro Davidovich Fokina was born on June 5, 1999, in Málaga, Spain. He was brovght vp by his parents Eduard Davidovich, and Tatiana Fokina. He is residing in Fuengirola, Spain and is being coached by Jorge Aguirre.

Alejandro Davidovich Fokina was raised in La Cala del Moral, Rincón de la Victoria. His father is of a Swedish origin while his mother is a Russian. His father was previously a boxer. He was raised alongside a brother named Mark.

Alejandro Davidovich Fokina developed a passion at a young stage. He has been playing tennis with his father since the age of three. Reaching the age of five, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina started training at Calaflores and later Serramar tennis courts with coach Manolo Rubiales.

Alejandro Davidovich Fokina was Spanish Champion at U12, U15 and U18 levels. He began his professional tennis career in 2016 and won his first ITF Grade 1 in Canada at the Repentigny Internationaux de Tennis Junior. He won his first ITF Futures 15K title at Quinta do Lago in Portugal, against Roberto Ortega Olmedo in March 2018.
