Greenwood came through the Man United academy and made his senior debut in a Champions League victory away to Paris Saint-Germain in March 2019.
Greenwood signed a new contract with United in February 2021, which runs until 2025 and has the option of another year.
His previous deal, signed in October 2019, was worth around £25,000 per week but United lifted his earnings to reflect his growing status at the club.
In January 2022, Greenwood was arrested on suspicion of raping and assaulting a woman, and a few days later on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill. Since then, Greenwood has not trained with, or appeared for, either his club or his national team. In October 2022, he was charged with attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour and assault.

What is Greenwood doing now?
Mason Greenwood faced allegations of attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour and assault. He was subsequently banned by Manchester United from playing or attending training until further notice.
Following the dropped of charges, Manchester United said in a statement; “Manchester United notes the decision of the Crown Prosecution Service that all charges against Mason Greenwood have been dropped.
“The club will now conduct its own process before determining next steps. We will not make any further comment until that process is complete.
