Nicola Walker is an English actress who debuted on British television in the 1990s. She is best known for playing Ruth Evershed in the spy thriller Spooks (2003–2006 and 2009–2011) and DCI Cassie Stuart in Unforgotten (2015–2021). Additionally, she has experience in radio, film, and theater. For the play The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, she won the 2013 Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress. For the BBC drama Last Tango in Halifax, she received two BAFTA TV Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress.

Walker was offered a spot in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art after graduating from Cambridge, but she already had a few jobs and an agent, so she opted to continue acting instead.

What Is Nicola Walker Doing Now?
The 52-year-old London-born actress Nicola Walker will soon be seen in Annika’s second season.
The BBC Radio 4 drama Annika Stranded served as the inspiration for the British crime drama Annika. The first season of the show, which aired in 2021 on Alibi, featured Nicola as the title character.
In her 30-year career, she has really portrayed eight distinct police officer or detective roles. UKTV announced in August 2022 that Annika has been renewed for a second season on Alibi.
Nicola Walker will reprise her role as DI Annika Strandhed in the six-part drama.
