What is the message of Unesco World Teachers Day?
We call upon countries to ensure that teaching is transformed everywhere into a more attractive and valorized profession where teachers are valued, trusted, and adequately supported to meet the needs of every learner.

The ceremony will be opened by UNESCO’s Director-General, followed by messages from the three co-convening agencies: the International Labour Organization (ILO), UNICEF, and Education International.
As part of the celebrations, UNESCO will inaugurate an original photo exhibition featuring teachers from across the globe. This exhibition will showcase portraits and testimonials, recognizing their dedication, passion, and commitment to shaping the future. It will also highlight UNESCO’s work on teachers. It will be on display outside UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, from late September to mid-October.
