He began practicing table tennis in 2005.
In 2013, Calderano emerged as the youngest player to ever win a leg of the ITTF World Tour and the first player to win a singles title on the ITTF Junior Circuit and the ITTF World Tour.
The tennis star Calderano is currently a 6-time Latin American champion – three times in singles and team events. On the professional circuit, he has won 6 singles and two doubles titles and on the club level, he has won one German Bundesliga title.

In January 2022, Calderano reached number 3 in the world rankings, becoming the greatest Americas player of all time. He is now number 6 in the world ranking.
