Who Is Richard Sherman?

Richard Sherman is an American football cornerback who currently plays as a free agent.

Sherman was born on March 30, 1988, in Los Angeles, California.

He went to Dominguez High School, where he was an active member of the school’s football team.

As a senior he recorded 1,030 all-purpose yards, including 870 yards on 28 catches, 45 tackles, 8 pass breakups and 1 interception as a defensive back.

Sherman proceeded to Stanford, where he played college football as a wide receiver.

In 2011, the Seahawks drafted him in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft, and Sherman helped the team win their first Super Bowl (Super Bowl XLVIII).

The team had recorded a 43–8 win over the Denver Broncos. It was third-largest margin of victory so far in the history of the Super Bowl.

Sherman is a four-time Pro Bowler, three-time first-team All-Pro, and a Super Bowl Champion.

Sherman is known for having the record of the most interceptions and defending passes in the NFL history.

In 2021, he played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and in 2022, he was placed on injury reserve, following an Achilles injury.

He had ended the season playing five games with three starts, 11 tackles, a pass deflection, and one interception.
