How did they get The Queen to feature in the film?
According to Director Danny Boyle, they had sent a proposal to the Royal Palace asking for permission for someone to play the role of the Queen in the short film, however, the Queen took it upon herself to play the role, as she was a big fan of James Bond. It was also reported that her scenes were shot one time with no script whatsoever, as she was allowed to form words and act as she pleased.

According to Craig (James Bond), being on the same set as the Queen was an absolute honor. He also shared that the Queen passed several jokes that made the environment more comfortable.
“The Queen was very funny, and she cracked a joke about me. We were having our photographs taken and she pointed at me and said “he is the one who doesn’t smile,” and we all started laughing,” Daniel Craig said.
