Lance Lynn is a seasoned American baseball pitcher who now competes for the Major League Baseball Chicago White Sox. Since December 2020, he has been a member of the Sox. Lynn spent the two seasons before this one playing for the Texas Rangers.

Lance began playing baseball before he finished school. He participated in the Little League World Series in 1999. The Central Regional Championship was eventually won by his team. Lynn received scholarships from several universities after completing high school, but he ultimately decided to attend the University of Mississippi. In his sophomore and junior years, Lynn was named All-State.
During his senior season, his team went 36-0 and captured the 4A state title. In 2005, Lynn was named the Gatorade Player of the Year.
