Journalist Benjamin Hall was hurt while reporting in Ukraine and is currently in the hospital, according to Suzanne Scott, CEO of Fox News Media.

“This is news that we hate to pass along to you, but it sometimes happens in the middle of a conflict,” television host John Roberts said of the incident on air Monday afternoon.

The network had “very little details,” according to Roberts, who added that employees on the ground were “trying to obtain further information.”

“The safety of our Fox team is of the utmost importance and our highest priority,” Roberts said. “More on this as we get it.”

Hall began working for Fox in 2015 as the network’s State Department correspondent. He has considerable reporting experience on the front lines of conflicts, ranging from the campaign against ISIS in Syria and Iraq to the battles in Afghanistan and Gaza. He previously worked as a foreign journalist in London.

When word of Hall’s hospitalization broke, Fox News journalists and personalities rushed to social media to express their support for him.

The event occurred just days after Brent Renaud, an American photojournalist and cameraman, was killed in Ukraine and another journalist was injured while photographing Russia’s escalating invasion.
