A native of the United States, LaTavia Roberson was born on November 1, 1981. As a founding member of Destiny’s Child, one of the best-selling girl groups in history and an R&B group, she first gained notoriety in the late 1990s. While a member, Roberson released two studio albums, moved over 25 million records, won two Grammy Awards, and won three Soul Train Music Awards.

Roberson temporarily founded the girl group Anjel after leaving the group, which also featured LeToya Luckett, a former member of Destiny’s Child. Those Jeans, How to Love, and Not My Family are just a few of the theater productions in which Roberson has acted as the lead.
