Who is NFL coach Singleton?

Philadelphia set franchise records for rushing yards (2,715), rushing touchdowns (25), and rushing first downs in 2021, the first year he played for the Eagles (163).

Boston Scott recorded a career-high seven rushing touchdowns while Miles Sanders posted the third-highest rushing average (career-high 5.5) among NFL running backs (minimum 125 attempts) under Singleton’s direction. Kenneth Gainwell also shared the record for the most rookie run touchdowns in Eagles history with five.

Singleton served as the running backs coach for the Cincinnati Bengals during the 2019–20 seasons before moving on to the Eagles. In 2020, as Cincinnati’s running backs accumulated 1,891 scrimmage yards for the season, he assisted the team in coping with the season-ending injury to Joe Mixon, who through six games was seventh in the NFL in rushing yards (428).

Mixon gained 1,137 rushing yards in 2019 under Singleton’s direction, including 817 yards in the final eight games (second-most in the NFL in that span). With Singleton at the helm, the Bengals’ ground game, which averaged 130.1 rushing yards per game in the second half of the season, significantly contributed to the offense’s revival.
