On Radio 2, Michael Ball is joined by funnyman Les Dennis and presenter Alan Titchmarsh. Ball co-hosted the Olivier Awards with Imelda Staunton on March 13, 2011, at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, London.

Michael Ball gained fame in 1987 for his role as Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera. Michael Ball’s album Coming Home To You reached number one in the UK, making it his fourth number-one album.

In 1992, Michael Ball represented the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “One Step Out of Time,” finishing in second place.

Michael Ball has won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical twice, in 2008 for his role as Edna Turnblad in Hairspray and in 2013 for Sweeney Todd.

Michael Ball was recognized with the appointment of Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2015 Birthday Honours for his contributions to musical theatre.

Michael Ball’s album Heroes was released on March 14, 2011, and entered the UK charts at number 10.
