Tiger Woods has been number one golfer for so long to the extent that not seeing his name as the number 1 golfer in the world is a rare sight.

Ahead of the 2022 Masters, a relatively unknown golfer to the ‘outsiders’, Scottie Scheffler, was named as the World Number 1.
Whilst many in the golfing community saw the elevation coming, the majority of outsiders are struggling to make the connection between Scottie Scheffler, a young guy from Texas who is good at golf with the fella at the top of the world rankings.
Not so surprisingly, Scottie Scheffler is having the same difficulty.

Scottie Scheffler said in an interview;
“I don’t feel like No 1 in the world.” “I feel like the same guy I was four months ago. My friends are still making fun of me. I still have to do chores at home.”
Scottie Scheffler’s principal achievement before his maiden victory at the Phoenix Open was accepting the role of chaperone to Bryson DeChambeau at the Ryder Cup, twice partnering the divisive American before inflicting in Sunday’s singles a first defeat of the week upon Jon Rahm, the player he subsequently deposed as world No 1.
