Lord Farquaad is the short man in Shrek. He is a fictional character who appears in the 2001 DreamWorks animated feature film “Shrek.”

Lord Farquaad is 4 feet 6 inches (138 cm). Lord Maximus Farquaad is the main antagonist of the 2001 animated film Shrek, as well as Shrek 4-D and the musical.

In the original Broadway production of Shrek The Musical, the role was played by Tony Award nominee Christopher Sieber. Lord Farquaad does not appear in William Steig’s original picture book of the same name.

In the animated film, Lord Farquaad is portrayed as a comically evil character with his appearance and mannerisms being that of classic fairy tale villains.

Outside of the film series, Lord Farquaad appears in the Universal Studios Theme Parks ride Shrek 4-D and its comic book adaptation by Dark Horse Comics.

In the films, Lord Farquaad orders all fairy tale creatures to be rounded up and sent to live in a designated area called “Shrek’s swamp.”
