Esther Cobbah, the wife of Ghanaian lawyer and politician, is a corporate communications expert with over 30 years of experience.

Esther was born in Sekondi, in the Western Region of Ghana, to a postmaster father and a mother who was a housewife and an entrepreneur.
Esther Cobbah graduated from the University of Ghana, Legon, and bagged a Masters degree from Cornell University. She was an International Rotary Scholar during her time.
She is a member of various professional bodies including the International Communication Association (ICA), and the International Public Relations Association (IPRA).
Cobbah is the brain behind Strategic Communications Limited (Stratcomm Africa), a full service marketing and communications firm, located at the heart of Accra, Ghana.

In the 1980s, Esther worked in the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation, and later rose to become the first External Affairs Manager for the West African Gas Pipeline Project Consortium.
Esther Cobbah Awards
Esther has received a number of awards from various bodies and institutions such as Media Entrepreneur of the Year (2010).
In 2012, she won the Marketing Woman of the Year Award by the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG); and the following year, she won the award of Outstanding Corporate Woman of the Year at the 2013 Ghana Women’s Awards.
Others awards include the Institute of Public Relations Ghana, Public Relations Personality of the Year (2013); Public Relations Consultancy of the Year 2013 Award (Stratcomm Africa) and Top Women in PR, 2016.
