Dettori told hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby about the terrifying event while recalling a portion of his legendary career that is the subject of the new book Leap of Faith.

Dad-of-five Dettori described every terrifying aspect, saying: “I believed there was no way I was going to get out of it.

I was unhappy that God was going to take me and I wasn’t ready for it, not because I was afraid of dying since I knew I was going to die.
