Who was Brett Hadley? ‘Young and the Restless’ Actor Dead at 92

American actor, Brett Hadley who was known for his role as Genoa City police detective Carl Williams on The Young and the Restless, has been reported dead. He died on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at age 92.

He was cast for the role in 1980 and played the role up to 1991. His character, Williams became unseen and was “always in the other room or had to go to work. He re-emerged in 1998 when it was revealed that Carl had been beaten nearly to death and had amnesia.

Hadley had to take on a new life as Jim Bradley, having never remembered being Carl Williams or his wife (Carolyn Conwell) and his family. He made his final appearance in the soap opera in 1999.
